Okay, I suffered a momentary lapse of weakness and I clicked on the banner ad just to see what it was all about, and look what popped up. I AM NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS OFFER! Isn't that a hoot in the tooter!

Obviously, they are looking for AIM users to sign up for AOL. The offer is to keep their existing screen name, and simply transfer it to a paid AOL account. As far as I'm concerned, AOL simply does not understand the mindset of the average (non-AOL) internet user. Apparently, they do not understand the mindset of the average AOL internet user either. -Paul
I too am tired of AOL but I have things saved here that I am not sure I can move to another provider. What a way to keep me around. There are times when I am so frustrated at AOL that I feel like throwing my whole computer out the window!!!!!!! Keep the disclaimer-until "they" find it and decided it is inappropriate language LOL
I don't know what to say but I do chalk it up to AOL having their own "proprietary" software - I think that has a lot to do with it all being so screwed up (and yes I'm an AOL member too
